Just 15 minutes scenic drive from Hobart brings you to Island Bonsai, with over 50 species and varieties of Tasmanian plants on display as bonsai.  We also have bonsai for sale, many plants ready to bonsai, a wide range of bonsai pots, as well as tools and books.

Island Bonsai is open on the second weekend of every month, from 10am - 5pm, or by appointment during weekdays. To confirm upcoming open weekends, please check our newsletter.

The more notice you can give us of your preferred visiting time, the more likely we will be able to accommodate you.  However, in many instances, we will be close at hand, so it is always worth checking with a quick phone call, even at short notice.

Ridgeway nestles in the hills below Mount Wellington, just 10-15 minutes from the Hobart GPO, and is accessed via Chimney Pot Hill Road (off Huon Road) or via Waterworks Road (see map).  When you arrive at Ridgeway, turn right into Hall Street. Island Bonsai is about 300 metres up the street on the left.
